Massage Therapy
What Is Massage Therapy?
Massage is a well-known therapy that uses pressure to activate the spindal cells in the muscles. These cells act like mini springs and control muscle tension. When pressure is placed on the muscle, they send the signal to the brain to tell the muscle to relax.
Massage therapy has a host of health benefits, some of which are listed below.

Types of Massage Available
Deep Tissue and Sports Injury
Deep tissue massage is excellent for any injury as well as muscle tension, stress, anxiety, headaches and more. Using warm up techniques to begin, the therapist will prepare your muscles to be massaged into submission.
Deep flowing strokes, and held pressure encourage your muscles to let go and relax, returning your body to homeostasis.
Hot Stone Therapy
Apart from feeling absolutely wonderful, hot stone massage stimulates healing in the body in various ways. Heated volcanic rocks are placed in specific areas of the body (including acupuncture points) to heat, relax and prepare the body for massage. This healing heat penetrates into the body increasing blood flow, which provides precious nutrients and removes toxins and wastes.
Hot stones can also be used as part of the massage. With Swedish strokes they warm and loosen up the tightest and most stubborn muscles.
Swedish Massage
Using long flowing strokes Swedish massage is the perfect way to relax, destress and revitalize the body. This massage is excellent for deep relaxation where you can leave all the stress behind.
